Apologies for the delay in hoisting today's blog, but I have travelled over from Skye to Lewis and was affected this morning by a breakdown in communications cause by an attempted theft ... of underwater cables at Loch Carron (above). Telephones, broadband, cash machines and credit card transmissions were disrupted. The BBC report is here. I look forward to being back on time tomorrow.
