Saturdays are usually fairly busy in Lerwick and especially so when a cruise ship calls. Last Saturday saw the Costa Pacifica in port and up to 3000 potential shoppers come ashore. There's no accounting for people's interests, but probably many chose to see historical Viking boats in the museum rather than the current Boots, or whatever, in Commercial Street.
