It trails a photographic exhibition of the work of John Maher and Ian Paterson to be held at An Lanntair in Stornoway from 9 November. The photographs capture the essence of dereliction - where past domestic comforts are in limbo as they approach future industrial decay. The word 'industry' comes from the Latin 'industria' meaning 'diligence', but here the emphasis is certainly on the element of 'dust' - from an Old English word of Germanic origin referring to 'chaff'.
