Shieling Gives Shelter
If you had to spend the night on terrain similar to Cuiashader (above) in the far north-east of Lewis, then the type of shieling (below) on nearby Ness Moor would provide some shelter. The old church pew is there in a position for which it was not originally constructed - relaxing in the sun. Robin Wilson took the panoramic view and John MacLean the close-up.
