Broadband for More


Vodafone now offers its 3G service to two more of Shetland's more distant communities. The 61 residents of Fetlar can access the broader band-width through the Rural Open Sure Signal Scheme of the company. Sandness, in West Mainland, where there are 160 inhabitants in 75 occupied houses, has no village shop and so internet retailing and delivery could well develop further there.
