St Moluag's Staff

The late Alastair Livingstone of Bachuil, photographed by Julian Calder, holds St Moluag's Staff, a Christian relic dating from the 6th Century. It is part of the historical heritage of the island of Lismore. This month Iain Thornber has written about the safekeeping of the Staff in two newspapers. His regular column, Morvern Lines, in the Oban Times considers the matter in a fascinating historical perspective; his letter on the topic appears in the national daily, The Herald. Click on to the items, learn more and become concerned.
