Fair and Attractive


The lights of the Auld Haa Guest House, Fair Isle, are in the forefont; those of the Aurora Borealis illuminate the background. The sight of each has welcomed visitors to the island for many years and, although the resident population has declined from a high of 400, people's awareness of it has increased considerably. For instance, Scottish Islands Explorer was founded there on 2 January 2000. Take in the enlightening item in the BBC Travel series.
