Stroma Surveyed


The lighthouse on Stroma, in the Pentland Firth, continues to function, but the island failed to flourish after its peak in 1901. However, permanent residents continued for over 60 years until it became depopulated. The Scotsman carried a memorable article on the eerie settlement earlier this year with its history and buildings surveyed.
