Awareness of Waves

Surfers use waves to gain propulsion and pleasure in the Northern and Western Isles. However, most of us are only aware of them when at the seaside. Bernie Bell, whose ideas are published in The Orkney News, looks at the wider perspectives of dumping material at sea to be washed elsewhere; the waves of fashion that assail us; and the relatively new signals in the atmosphere and our own immediate environments.
