This image of Ulva, Mull, comes from the archives of the now defunct Schools Hebridean Society - so it must be dated. It was, in fact, taken in 1970 since when any island developments have been rare. Now matters have changed and the community buyout has meant that initiatives are being considered. House-building is one of them and that's featured in an article from The Press and Journal.
