Virtually all are welcomed to Eigg, although two exceptions occurred recently. One was a man, apparently not a resident, who will be charged with fire-raising; the other involved the police officers ferried there in the Mallaig lifeboat to investigate the crime. The more remote the Scottish island, the rarer it is to have a police presence at any time. The Press and Journal has the story.
