The residents of Kirkwall must have been a little daunted when the cruise ship Ruby Princess docked at Hatson Pier last Sunday morning and up to 2971 passengers and 1133 crew-members could have come ashore. It was certainly a case of all hands on retail outlets, including the post office, in the town.
