Barra and Mars


The image above comes from close to the beach used by aircraft on Barra; the one below was taken by the Curiosity rover on Mars. Scientists have been connecting the composition of rocks on Barra and the Uists to assess whether hydrogen released after earthquakes could have assisted life on two planets. Read the BBC item.
