Tot Up on Rum

The Community Hall and Post Office on the Isle of Rum could become attractive facilities for newcomers who are being sought to boost the population. It currently totals 22 and more are needed to make that important difference, particularly in keeping the school open. News of the appeal is in The Press and Journal. The bothy at Guiridil (below) at an extreme part of the island, no longer has permanent residents, but is one of two places of local accommodation maintained by the Mountain Bothies Association.
