Which Brother?
Monday is sometimes a compare and contrast day. Here are two 'Brothers' to be given the same treatment. Brother Isle in Yell Sound has an interesting entry in Hamish Haswell-Smith's The Scottish Islands. It opens -'Brother Isle does not extend a welcome to visitors.' It is the smallest island in his over-forty-hectares classification; has apparently never been occupied; provides no landing and one large cave that could, perhaps, have 'housed' a hermit. Now East Brother Island, California, offers the warmest of welcomes!
